CHURCHES:
UNION (LAKELAND) (1825)
On October 1, 1825, Union Church was organized with the following charter members: William A. Knight, Sara Knight, Jonathan Knight, ELizabeth Knight, Joshua Lee, Martha Lee, James Patten, Elizabeth Patten, Josiah Sirman, and Mary Knight. The presbytery was composed of Elders Fleming Bates and Matthew Albritton. The original members came from Kettle Creek, Hebron, and Macedonia churches. Union Church became the mother church of many other churches which were established in every direction.
