Illinois Primitive Baptist Association

The Illinois Primitive Baptist Association was informally organized in September 2014, by three small Primitive Baptist churches, with services being held at several additional places in various parts of Illinois. At the fourth annual session, the Association adopted a formal constitution, articles of faith, and rules of decorum.

At the ninth annual session, the constitution, articles of faith, and rules of decorum of the Salem Association were adopted, due to their simplicity and our familiarity with them. The ninth annual session was held at the Carthage Church. Eight ministers attended, and the fellowship and preaching was wonderful.

The eighth annual session was held September 3, 4, and 5, 2021, at Pleasant Grove meeting house, Salem, Illinois. Eight ministers attended this meeting, and the fellowship and preaching was wonderful.

The 7th annual session of the Illinois Primitive Baptist Association was held August 8th and 9th, 2020, at Crooked Creek Church, near Iola, Clay County, Illinois. This was an abbreviated session, due to the China flu virus that has plagued the world, including our nation and state, this year.

The 6th annual session of the Illinois Primitive Baptist Association was held with the Carthage Primitive Baptist Church, on August 30th and 31st, and September 1st, 2019. The 2019 session had the largest attendance of any session thus far.

The fourth, fifth, and sixth sessions of the Association convened with the Carthage Church, in September 2017, 2018, and 2019.

The Third Annual Session was held at Crooked Creek Church, one mile south of Iola, Clay County, Illinois, on September 3 and 4, 2016.

The first and second annual sessions, in 2014 and 2015, were held at Pleasant Grove Meeting House, 3506 Nation Road, Salem, Illinois. Photos below.
