Bethlehem Church was the outgrowth of meetings held in the home of Matthew H. W. Albritton. Services were held in a log building erected in 1871, which was used until the church lapsed in 1885. In 1898, the church was reorganized, and erected and dedicated a rectangular log building. The first settled pastor was Elder J. W. Futch (1898-1912). Elder G. B. Jenkins was the pastor in 1926.

HEBRON (PLANT CITY) (1891)

Hebron Church, south of Plant City, Florida, was organized the second Sunday in February 1891, with six members, viz., Obediah Purvis, Rebeka Purvis, Georgia Proctor, William Hill, Henry Purvis, and Joshua Hunter. The constitution took place in the kitchen of Obediah and Rebeka Purvis's log house. The presbytery was composed of Elders T. J. McMullen, D. S. Stover, and Deacon M. Walker, and Bro. A. Campbell. Pastors have included Elders T. J. McMullen, Matthew Walker, J. H. Kirkland, R. W. Caruthers, E. J. Harvill, Joe Hudson, B. R. Polluck, D. D. Harvill, A. J. Evers, D. T. Harvill, Homer Little, Gus Harter, B. E. Holland, Paul Favreau, Donald Hazen, Tommy Hester, Cromer Crawford, and Hulen Harvill.
