Macedonia Church was organized September 24, 1840. The charter members were: Samuel Jordan and wife, Martha; Aaron Wetherby and wife, Mary; McKinney Scott and wife, Pollyan Maner, Sciota Morris, Mary Wreay, Isabella Aldridge, Nancy Smith, William Jordan, Ann Rowell, and Milly J. Stephens. Pastors have included Elders Jonathan Holcombe, E. B. Stephens, R. T. Speight, William Robinson, J. J. Pope, J. R. Robinson, W. H. Hamrick, T. G. Layton, I. P. Daniell, W. E. Nix, C. A. Clemmons, and I. M. Patty.
