FOREST PARK (FOREST PARK)
Forest Park Church was organized August 8, 1873, with twelve charter members, viz., Daniel Lites, Richard Daniel, J. J. Burks, M. E. Burks, John Stanley, J. Cook, Nancy Johnson, Sarah Lites, Sarah Daniel, Martha Stanley, Jane Kimble, and Sarah Smith. The presbytery was composed of Elders J. P. Lyon, W. T. Goddard, and J. E. Duke. Pastors have included: Elders J. P. Lyon, W. T. Goddard, J. A. Wright, G. W. Phillips, T. M. Ball, Dan Henderson, J. P. S. Stephens, Elzie D. Speir, Sr., J. M. Speir, and P. H. Byrd.
