Morris Memorial Church was organized prior to 1926 (the oldest association minutes we presently have), It had grown to 132 members by 1939. In 1948, the church had 172 members. Pastors have included Elders James Duncan, E. C. Holder, O. L. Hawkins, R. J. Shepard, and J. W. Perry. Morris Memorial Church was a member of the Tallahatchie Association of Primitive Baptists.

Raleigh Church, at Raleigh, was organized in May 1964, with twenty-four members, twenty-two of whom were dismissed from Morris Memorial Church.
