ROARING RIVER (1800)

Roaring River Church was organized sometime prior to July 1801, probably by members dismissed from Powell's Valley Church in the Holston Association. Roaring River Church united with the Green River Association, and then the Stockton's Valley Association, where it remained until 1844. The church then united with the Caney Fork Association of Old Baptists, or Primitive Baptists.

SPRING CREEK (1802)

Spring Creek Church, first known as Blackburn's Fork, was constituted on July 7, 1802, by Elders Samuel McGee and Jacob Coons. The charter members were Thomas McBride, John Russell, George Geer, Thomas Williams, Aaron Williams, Jacob Francisco, Henry Lowry, John Miller, James Walden, Nancy McBride, Nancy Gear, Sarah Williams, Elizabeth Williams, Mary Burlison, Elizabeth Burlison, Nancy Burlison, Sarah Lowry, Rebecca Miller, Dolly Russell, Elizabeth Russell, Sarah Prior, and Rebecca Francisco. This church first united with the Green River Association, then with Stockton's Valley when it was organized in 1805. A division occurred in 1841, and part of the members joined the Caney Fork Association of Old Baptists.

WOLF RIVER (1821)

Wolf River Church was organized 5 May, 1821. There were twenty eight charter members, viz., William Brown, Elizabeth Tompkins, Caty Gabbard, Maximillian Maybery, David Gabbard, Thomas Tompkins, William Tompkins, Rebecca Mayberry, Stephen Sewell, Ann Sewell, Peggy Sewell, Arthur Pierce, Nancy Pierce, Reuben Clevanger, Sarah Clevenger, Samuel Cole, Gilley Guyn, Isaac Crouch, Nancy Crouch, Joseph Tompkins, Mary Tompkins, William Sewell, Viny Cole, Thomas Rabourn, Mildred Rabourn, Richard Rabourn, Polly Jones, and Elizabeth Cowan. The presbytery included Elder Isaac Denton, moderator, and Bro. Joseph Tompkins, clerk.

CANEY RIDGE (1827)

Caney Ridge Church was constituted in 1827 by members dismissed from Spring Creek church, and united with the Stockton's Valley Association. Elder Jacob Petty was pastor here in 1837. The church withdrew from Stockton's Valley and joined the Caney Fork Association of Old Baptists.
