A Brief Sketch of Early Primitive Baptist History in Indiana

Primitive Baptist Churches were organized in the Wabash Valley, in southwestern Indiana, at a very early date, and the Wabash District Association was organized by those churches in 1809. The same year, several churches which had been organized in east-central Indiana, were dismissed from the Miami Association of Ohio to organize the White Water Association. Baptist churches and associations soon sprang up all over the state of Indiana.
