CHURCHES:
PISGAH CHURCH
Pisgah Church was constituted August 15, 1896, in Washita County Oklahoma, by Elders J. F. Dale and J. L. Hughes, with the following members: David Slone, J. J. Williams, Permella Hunt, Hannah Crawford and M. S. Williams.
Elder J. F. Dale was chosen pastor at the time the church was constituted.
In July 1898, the church extended an arm to Odessa in the eastern part of the county where Pleasant Hill Church was organized in 1900.
In August or September 1898, Elder Dale died. The church was then without a pastor until September 1899. Elders J.M. Hollis and J.B. Vandevender were called jointly to the pastoral care of the church. In 1900, Elder A.M. Morris was called to the care of the church.
The Elk Creek Association was organized with this church on Friday before the third Sunday in July 1902, her messengers being Elder A. M. Morris, and brethren W. N. Snelson, and L. L. Coffey.

PLEASANT HILL (ODESSA)
Pleasant Hill Church was constituted October 6, 1900, at Odessa, in Washita County, Oklahoma, by Elders A. M. Morris, J. B. Vandevender and J. M. Hollis, with the following members: T. J. Walker, F. I. Raven, Ira Hollis, J. A. Walker, D. F. Hollis, Julia Hollis, M. M. Walker, F. E. Colter, M. J. Weldon and A. A. Hollis.
Elders Morris and Vandevender served the church jointly till November 1901. Elder A. M. Morris was then called to the pastoral care of the church alone.
Pleasant Hill Church was one of the churches which helped constitute the Elk Creek Association of Oklahoma in 1902. Messengers of Pleasant Hill Church at that time were Elder J. M. Hollis, and brethren A. J. Walker, J. Belknap, and J. C. Mathis. The minutes of 1903 show this church as being located in Roger Mills County.

Sharon Church, at Dill City, was organized in November 1957, with seven members, including Clyde Rushing, Bonnye Rushing, Ruth Music, Lonzo Wyatt, and Romie Seright.
