CHURCHES:

SHILOH (AMERICA)

The records of old Bethel Church, near Jackson, Missouri, show that in June 1820 a request was received from Cash (sic - Cache) River, state of Illinois, requesting help to organize a church. In July 1820 the committee reported that seven miles from the town of America they constituted a church of ten members, called Shiloh. It was one of the ten churches which organized the Cape Girardeau Association in June 1824.
