ANTIOCH

Antioch Church was the host for the constitution of the First Primitive Baptist Association of Oklahoma, in August 1900.

NEW HOPE (SHAWNEE, LATER TECUMSEH)

New Hope Church was organized on Saturday before the third Sunday in August 1896, at the New Hope school house, with seven charter members, viz., J. A. Styles, C. C. Styles, J. W. Fisher, M. E. Fisher, Joel Cherry, J. B. Adams, and E. J. Adams. The presbytery was composed of Elder J. J. Johns (moderator) and Elder W. M. Startzman (clerk). As soon as the church was organized, the same presbytery proceeded to ordain Elder J. B. Adams to the work of the ministry, and Bro. J. W. Fisher as a deacon. New Hope Church was one of the four churches which organized the First Primitive Baptist Association of Oklahoma in August 1900.
