CHURCH:LITTLE ZION
Little Zion Church, near Alton, was organized in 1881 with six members. The pastors at first were Elders Moore and Cook. Four or five other members soon united with the church. The church also met part of the time near Gaylord, in Smith County. The church dissolved in 1907, although it had eighteen members at that time, but they had become widely scattered.
