A Primitive Baptist Church was established at Norfolk, on August 30, 1908. It was located at the corner of Camp Avenue and Poole Street. The presbytery was composed of Elders Joshua T. Rowe, of Baltimore, Md., L. C. Meads, of Weeksville, N.C., Deacon C. C. Aydlett, and Deacon John T. Walker. Elder L. C. Meads was chosen moderator.
