CHURCHES:

BETHEL (MUSKOGEE)

Bethel Church, at Muskogee, was organized by 1908 or earlier, but the date and other detailed information has not yet been obtained. An account published in the Messenger of Peace in 1916 shows that the church was in the process of building a new meeting house, which was completed during the year 1917. In the early history of this church it was in a union meeting with Prairie Valley church at Centralia and possibly others. In 1928 this church was a member of the Center Creek Association.
