CHURCHES:

LITTLE RIVER (1758)

Little River Church, near Troy, in Montgomery County was formed originally as an arm of Sandy Creek Church, and organized as a separate church in 1758. In 1760 it extended an arm to Meadow Creek, and a church was formed there in 1765. In 1833, Little River Church adopted the new doctrine and practice of the Fullerites and stopped washing feet, which caused a breach of fellowship between this church and the Bear Creek Association, which was never restored.

WHITE OAK SPRINGS (STAR)

White Oak Springs Church is located near Star. The church building is located in a beautiful grove of trees on a hill beside a large, well-kept cemetery.
