PILGRIM'S REST (CLEVELAND)

WOLF CREEK (WOODLAND)(1843)

It becomes my duty in submission to the legal authority of this church, to inform her that in the exercise of the authority, with which she has clothed me, That on the 3d. Day of this Instent (July) 1843, I Regulated, legalised and organized a church of about 20 members on Wolf Creek in Liberty County Republic of Texas upon the same articals of faith upon which this church stands constituted calling to my assistence in council Brethren William H. Whiteson, Joseph Stefeson and Thomas Baty from a regular Baptist church in Jasper county called Harmoney.

On September 2, 1837, Pilgrim Church gave Elders Daniel Parker and Garrison Greenwood authority to organize Primitive Baptist churches and ordain ministers and deacons. This was one of those churches.
