CHURCHES:LITTLE HOPE
Little Hope Church, near Tonganoxie, was organized on the fourth Saturday in April, 1868, at the home of Brother Lewis Thornrugh, near Tonganoxie. After preaching by Elder John M. Evans, a presbytery consisting of Elders John M. Evans and Ezekiel Fieldler, and Brethren Gideon J. Wood and John Mutter, proceeded to organize the church. It was agreed to hold meetings alternately at the homes of Lewis Thornrugh and C. C. Mendenhall.
