GREEN RIVER

Green River church was constituted on August 6, 1803, at Amos Ferry on Green River (Woodsonville) by Elders Alexander Davidson, Thomas Whitman, John Murphy, and Jacob Lock.

SINKING SPRING

Sinking Spring church was organized in May 1823, by Elders Lock and Davidson, and others. The charter members included the following who were dismissed from Green River Church, viz., Will Williamson, Georgel Brooks, Edith Brooks, James Williamson, Polly Williamson, Susan Grinstead, Joshua Woosley, Polly Woosley, Hiram Harper, Maria Wilson, E. S. Slemmon, Miles Brooks, George Amos, John Smith, Joseph Leach, Jacob Kessinger, and Lysia Kessinger.


NEW HOPE

New Hope Church was organized on the first Saturday in September, 1819, by the following members dismissed from Mt. Tabor Church in Barren County, and others (totalling 19) viz., Moses Short and wife, Hezekiah Davidson, Frances Brown, Polly Brown, Pheby Brown, Sally Brunfield, Pathem a black woman, Martha Pucter, William Davidson and wife. Elder Jacob Locke presided as moderator.
