BEAVER DAM (1802)

Beaver Dam Church, at Rhoda, was gathered by Elder Jacob Locke, pastor of Mt. Tabor Church in Barren Co., to preach for brethren at Beaver Dam, in December 1802. The records show that Mary Samples (wife of David Samples) was received and baptized at that time, and by April 1803, a request was granted to constitute the new church. Existing records of Beaver Dam Church date back to 1815.

SURNAMES OF MEMBERS:

HOLLY SPRINGS (1817)

Holly Springs Church was constituted at the home of William Music, on the second Saturday in September, 1817, by Elders Augustine Clayton, Green Collier, and Richard Ray. Among the early members (although the early records are lost) it is believed were Elder John Jones, James Jones, William Lindsey, John Lindsey, Sally Lindsey, John Music, Montgomery Forbis, John Davidson, and others.
