CHURCHES:

KETTLE CREEK

Kettle Creek Church was probably organized in about 1799, and united with the Green River Association in 1801. Elder William Ray was the pastor here. His brother, Elder Thomas Ray, was a neighbor to Moses Kirkpatrick and Thomas Lincoln on Mashek's Creek.

MUD CAMP (CASEY FORK)

Mud Camp Church was organized on Mud Camp Creek in about July 1801. In 1806 the name was changed to Casey's Fork Church.

OBEY'S RIVER (SINKING SPRING, SULPHUR)

RENNIX CREEK (SALEM)

Rennix Creek Church was organized on July 9, 1808, by members dismissed from Casey's Fork Church, viz., James Carter, James Baker, William Baker, Samuel Carter, Fanny Fletcher, Elizabeth Fletcher, Elizabeth Chalkley, Elizabeth Barrett, Elizabeth Etheson, Sally Cheatham, Polly Christman, Nancy Jowel, and James.
