CHURCHES:

MOUNT VERNON

Mount Vernon Church was organized April 22, 1887, in Vernon township, about three miles northeast of Kellogg, with five charter members. The presbytery was composed of Elders J. B. Hardy and J. M. Thompson. The membership increased to ten by July of the same year. A report of the constitution was published in the Messenger of Peace, and was sent in by Caroline H. Yeoman, who was probably one of the charter members.

SURNAMES OF MEMBERS:

Manion, McWilliams (very incomplete list due to loss of records).
