STOCKTON VALLEY

Stockton Valley Church was gathered by Elder Samuel McGee. Elder Isaac Denton united with the church in about 1799.

CLEAR FORK

Clear Fork Church was organized on April 1, 1802. The charter members were Isaac Denton, George Smith, William Wood, Thomas Stockton, Samuel Wood, William Goodson Sr., James Crouch, Anna Denton Sr., Agness Crouch, Benjamin Campbell, Clea Campbell, James Brock Sr., and Martha Denton.

SEVENTY-SIX

Seventy-Six Church was organized June 29, 1822, at the town of Seventy-Six, with the following charter members, viz., William Goodson Sr., Margaret Goodson, Patty Bristow, Peggy Ashinhurst, Patty Goodson, Betsy Goodson, William Smith, Ann Beck, Rachel Smith, Ann Savage, Hetty Brents, Peggy Smith, Frances Semple, William Goodson Jr., Sally Goodson, John Owen, Joel Ellis, Lucy Semple, Jonathan Smith, Elizabeth Rose, Tom and Sabre (colored servants). The presbytery was composed of Elders Isaac Denton and William Grimsley.
