Sinking Creek Church was organized in 1833, by members dismissed for that purpose from Union Church in Hardin County, Kentucky, viz., . Sinking Creek Church first joined the Salem Association, but was one of the churches which stood with the Regular Baptists in the division over the introduction of the modern mission system, who united to form the Otter Creek Association in October 1839.

Hopeful Church was one of the churches which stood with the Regular Baptists in the division over the introduction of the modern mission system. This church united with the Otter Creek Association, which was organized in October 1839.
