BULLITTSBURG (1794)
Bullittsburg Church was organized in June 1794 by Elders Joseph Redding and John Taylor, with seven charter members, viz., Lewis Deweese, John Hall, Elizabeth Hall, Chichester Matthews, Agnes Matthews, Joseph Smith, and Leannah Smith. This church later went into the modern mission system.

Sand Run Church was formed on March 20, 1819, by 77 members of nearby Bullitsburg Baptist Church. Bullitsburg Church was the oldest in the North Bend Baptist Association of Kentucky, having been constituted in June 1794.
