A Tribute to Elder Elias Roberts, 1779-1833
Elder Elias Roberts, a true pioneer minister of southern Illinois, was actively involved in the constitution of several very early churches, viz., Bon-Pas, 1824; Long Prairie, 1825; Village Creek, 1826; Birk's Prairie, 1826; Fox Prairie, 1827; Union, 1827; Salem, 1828; and Mt. Pleasant, 1830.
