The Christian Church or Disciples of Christ.

An article in the "History of Washington County, Pennsylvania" edited by Boyd Crumrine, 1882, the materials for which were gathered chiefly from the "Life of A. Campbell, by Dr. R. Richardson, and "The History of the Disciples in the Western Reserve," by A. S. Hayden.

This article shows the origin of the Disciples of Christ, through Alexander Campbell, who was for several years identified with a church which became a member of the Redstone Baptist Association. (We are presently engaged in compiling the history of the Redstone Association, which was organized in 1776, and remained with the Primitive Baptists in the division over missions.)
