Rest in That Blest Abode.

There is a sweet rest in the land of the blest,
For all the dear children of God;
When trials are o'er they meet on the shore,
And rest in that blessed abode.

Chorus -

Sweet rest in that blessed abode,
Among the dear children of god,
I long to be there its glories to share,
And rest in that blessed abode.

They rest from their care forevermore there,
Relieved of their burdensome load;
They sorrow no more while on the sweet shore
They rest in that blessed abode. - Chorus.

They rest from the strife of a sin burdened life,
which troubled them so on the road;
Their warfare is o'er, and on that sweet shore
They rest in that blessed abode. - Chorus.

They rest in sweet peace, having gained a release
From sorrow's oppressive load;
They joy evermore as on the sweet shore
They rest in that blessed abode. - Chorus.

They rest in the love of their Father above,
And praise him for blessings bestowed;
HIs name they adore, while on the sweet shore
They rest in that blessed abode. - Chorus.

J. R. D.

Who will condemn those for whom Christ died? God, the great Judge, will not, for he has accepted Christ as their substitute, and will finally ratify their justification before the assembled and astonished world. Satan cannot, for he will be forever counfounded by the unalterable decision of that omnipotent One who is supremely high in authority and infinitely great in majesty and power. His covenant of peace with them is more lasting than the sun and more durable than the earth. They shall endure forever.
