Sharon Church was constituted on Sunday, February 7, 1954. Emmaus Church in Jacksonville lovingly extended an arm, so that the following might present their letters to the presbytery: Elder Louie H. Crawford, Sister Pauline Crawford, Brother Clifford Price, Sr., Brother Royce M. Gainey, Sister Charlie E. Gainey, Brother Ollis F. Brewer, Sister Frankie D. Brewer, Brother Spencer Crawford, Sister Mary Crawford, and Sister Madge B. Dennis. The presbytery was called together and elected Elder B. E. Holland as moderator, Deacon Amos Raulerson as clerk, and Elders Joseph Hobbs, Herman W. Jordan, J. S. Crews, Everett Johns, O. S. Rhoden, A. W. Hodges; and Deacons Raulerson, H. D. Carroll, C. S. Roebuck, S. E. Harvey, J. G. North, Tim Thomas, L. Knabb, A. E. Howard, Watson East, C. L. Miller, John F. Robertson, and J. W. Hart formed the presbytery. Elder Louie H. Crawford was chosen pastor, and Frankie Brewer, clerk. Located at 3568 North Edgewood Avenue, in Jacksonville.
